Batch-level expiry tracking for perishable products.

Shopify tracks one quantity per variant — not the three restocks with three different expiry dates sitting behind it. Expiry Manager tracks inventory at the batch level, so merchants selling food, cosmetics, or supplements know what's expiring before it becomes waste.

  • Record batches per variant — batch number, quantity, and expiry date — as stock is received
  • Every batch shows a live health status: healthy, near expiry, or expired, always computed from today's date
  • Orders are allocated to batches automatically, earliest expiry first (FEFO), and restored on cancels and refunds
  • Configurable day-based alerts before batches expire, and batch-to-order traceability when a recall hits
